Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, Ottawa, Canada. Note the clock on the dome, this is very rare for an observatory dome. When viewed at high resolution, the Roman numeral for 4 o’clock (IIII) is not in modern subtractive notation : IV, strange quirk which only applies to clocks according to WikiPedia. Built in 1905 on the Agriculture Department’s Central Experimental Farm in the Ornamental Gardens.

Can’t see much here but when President Obama paused in the rotunda of the Centre Block of Parliament and waved to us the crowd went wild! Police estimate that 2,500 people waited on Parliament Hill in Ottawa for this very moment here above.
